Tips for the Best Pumpkin French Toast
- Use Brioche or Challah bread: These breads have a slightly sweet and buttery flavor which adds more richness to the dish. Brioche’s combination of richness, texture, and flavor makes it an ideal base for delicious French toast. If you can’t find brioche or challah bread, texas toast (Thick sliced bread) works great too! (Using day-old brioche actually works perfect for these as well! Slightly stale brioche soaks up the mixture better, giving you that perfect custardy texture).
- Keep Warm: If cooking in batches, keep finished French toast warm in a low oven (around 180-200°F) while you finish the rest.
